Fuengirola is a large town and municipality on the Costa del Sol in the province of Malaga, autonomous community of Andalusia. It is located in the southern Spain of the province and it is integrated in the Western Costa del Sol region.

Fuengirola has 71,482 inhabitants, is the fifth municipality more populated in the province. Located to 30 km to the southwest of the city of Malaga, the municipality of Fuengirola bounders in the north with the municipalities of Benalmadena and Mijas, municipality this last with which also bounders in the west and in the south. To the east, it’s bathed by the Mediterranean Sea.

The Costa del Sol is one of the most important tourist destinies all over the world, thanks to its infrastructures (hotels and communications), beaches, leisure offers and especially its climate, reason why we are sure that it is an ideal place to celebrate this event.

More than eight km of seashore are divided in seven beaches, according to the local administration. All the beaches are of urban development and suitable for bathing. In 2009 Fuengirola became the unique municipality of Spain in which all beaches have been awarded with the blue flag.

The event will be celebrated in the Beach of the Castle, is an urban dark sand beach and moderate swell located in the southern part of the city, next to the Sohail Castle. It has about 800 meters in length and about 40 meters in average width. It is a beach with the own services of urban beaches.

Fuengirola is communicated with Capital Malaga through the Mediterranean motorway (A-7) and through the Mediterranean highway (AP-7) that also communicate with the airport and the train station. The Airport of Malaga is located 18 km of Fuengirola and has three terminals with domestic flights and international. One of the most modern and busy of the Spanish airports, with connections with more than 50 cities all over the world. The station of trains is located in center of Capital Malaga with the arrival of the AVE (high-speed train) with a local train that arrives until the Fuengirola’s train station.
